Get The Look: Ariana Grande (Popular Song)

Okay, so I was watching the video for Popular Song (YouTube it) and I noticed how flawless Ariana's make up is in it and how cute and sweet it looks. This led me on to want to recreate the look so that is what I'm doing today. She wears two (I think) different looks in the video, one is more dark and gothic and one is more light and wearable. I'd say one is day and the other is night, I'm recreating the "day" one which is what she wears during the kitchen scenes.
I have put together a set of most the things needed to create this look:
In this scene, Ariana's skin looks very matte and smoothed out, it doesn't look like she's wearing much on her face at all so I suggest using a matte foundation with a pressed powder to set it. I've heard that the Rimmel Stay Matte foundation is meant to be cake free which is the look we are going for. For definition on the cheek bones use a light dusting of black eyeshadow to contour for the vampire/gothic look achieved in this video. As an alternative to make this makeup more wearable, use a light dusting of a dark brown bronzer (or what ever you feel comfortable with wearing with your complexion). To finish off the face add a tiny bit of light pink blush to add dimension to the cheeks. As you can see there isn't lot of blush used in this look. Moving onto eyes now. The eyes are the main focus for this makeup. Begin by priming all around the eyes then add a cream shadow in a cream or light grey colour over the lid. Next apply a light grey/silver (similar to the colour marked as 1 on the photo above) powder shadow over the cream shadow bringing it out to the corners of the eyes a little more. Add a slightly darker grey into the crease and finish with an even darker grey or black shadow in the outer corners of the eye and blend together for a smokey look. Sweep a tiny little bit of white shadow under the eye to highlight and make the eyes appear bigger. Line the waterline and tight line with black eyeliner. Curl the lashes and apply mascara (avoid using anything that with clump the lashes together or make them look too thick). Finish the eyes by applying false lashes. Use lashes that look fairly natural and just enhance and length your natural lashes. Ariana's eyebrows don't look too defined here so simply fill them in lightly or just leave them. Line the lips with a liner that is slightly darker than the lipstick you are using. For the lipstick use a nude, light pink or peach lipstick. I would recommend using a nude colour for the best result and closest to the original makeup.
I think this make up is really cute and can easily be switched up to make it more wearable or change colours of eyeshadow for different occasions. This look can also be used for a last minute Halloween costume (maybe use a darker lip colour). I really hope you all enjoyed this post and I think I might make more posts like this Because it's really fun!
